Roll Em'

The smell of Valentino is in the air, that's right...the Oscars are only 2 short days away. Celebs are binge dieting, Rachael Zoe is in the middle of a panic attack and we can't get enough of it! Basically we're eagerly awaiting our fave celeb hotties, classic interviews and of course- the tragic fashions bound to disgrace the red carpet at any given moment. (here's hopin') In my opinion, these are the best moments captured on TV.

On another note, it seems like the Atlanta market is picking up. My models are on the ball, and we are ready for industry to get crazy busy! Can i get an amen?! Have a wonderful weekend, and always look your best.

Just Another Mannic....you know the rest

The fact that it's almost 6:00 on a monday, may indicate the personal production of my day. I haven't felt very creative, and have been dedicating myself to actual work. Trying to book my models the best. Signing new hot talent. Being amazing. Etc. Etc.
But the lethargic disposition that I'm overcoming is just the aftermath of an intense weekend. Let's just say, Bill Hallman throws one heck of a party. With an atmosphere blended with the perfect amount of intimacy and sexiness, Halo Lounge hosted champagne toasting fashionistas for the sake keeping this industry's ball rolling in this town. I must say, being surrounded by pretty people in the name of fashion was amazing and really played down the fact that it was Valentine's day...thanks Bill. But really, as one of ATL's top boutique and fashion head honchos of the southeast, Bill Hallman stores are something to get excited about. Look out for spring and the hot trends! Stay tuned!

Bitter Betty

You love it, or you love it not. Valentine's Day. A commercialized day dedicated to love birds, halmark and 1800-flowers has once again crept up on us. For some, this could very well be the worst holiday ever. Or you love "love" so much and can't get enough of hand in the back pocket of your jeans as you walk down the street and passionate P.D.A. (public display of affection).

Typical wining and dining is a novel idea to celbrate your undying love for your significant other. But if you're really "not that into it" and would rather be amongst your fellow men or chick bashers, Q-100's annual Bitterball is where you need to be tomorrow. Singles only please! You can only attend if that left ring finger is vacant. It's funny though, singles getting together to...get together? Kinda an oxy-morron eh? Well, non-the-less...it's gonna be a kickin party. Don't be off the scene this weekend...forget about staying in your jammies with sob films and a stick of cookie dough. Really? There's plenty of twitterpating love in the air to go around.

What NOT To Do In An Interview

No, really. There's nothing much worse that could happen in an interview. Lesson 1: if David Letterman asks you a question, please answer it with more than yes or no. Joaquin Phoenix has apparently left the thespian world (and his ability to communicate) and is heading for a career in rap music. Without further ado, here's the crash and burn interview that leaves you squirming in your seat and unsure of whether or not this guy's for real.

The Devil's Dandriff

I guess you could say, the corner stall of the Peachtree Tavern in Buckhead isn't really a good spot to exercise your drug habbits. Ex-Falcon's running back, Jamal Anderson enjoyed one too many lines of crack atop I'm sure, w+hat appeared to be a perfectly good toilet seat. Needless to say, he was arrested.

You ask...Why would cocaine be relative to a modeling industry blog? PUH-Leez. Cocaine has been keeping models disgustingly thin, athletes on top of their game, and celebs alert for decades. Just ask Steve Rubell....host of NY's former hottest disco spot, Studio 54. Nose candy was one of the headliners of Studio 54 back in the 70s, found in just about every celeb's pocket in the coat check. There's a reason that place got shut down in the 80s. Things have changed since then...or has it? Let's just remember models in hopes of making it "big" - crack is wack.

Hard Rock'n through the Grammys

It's no secret, Atlanta houses some of the finest musicians and faces in the U.S....heck...in the world! So, at your next ATL affair, pay attention to who you're bumping elbows with. They may just surprise you one day.

In lew of the big Grammy show last Sunday night, ATL hosted an exclusive celebrity-studded viewing event at Hard Rock Cafe downtown. Amongst the guest
list was musician RudyVaughn (the next big
thing on One Atlanta Music's label). Strutting down the red carpet with Vaughn were entourage members, Sam Tesh and Kristen Ray. Who says you have
to shoot classy poses at main events? When
you're a big deal, it just doesn't matter.

And The Grammy Goes To....

The talk of today- the grammy's To be honest....the 51st annual Grammy Awards last night was one of the best I've ever seen! Performances included that from Al Green and Paul McCartney (o-mazing), M.I.A., Radiohead (killed it), Coldplay (i died), even girl kissing-Katy Perry (wouldn't kick her outta bed).

There weren't many disasters to speak of...only one comes to mind. UK singer Adele, 2 time winner of last night's ceremony, smacked her way through an acceptance speech. She was CHEWING GUM on stage...a no no in any business. Especially the modeling business. ATTN MODELS: put your right hand in the hair, your left on the nearest cosmo, and repeat: I will never chew gum at a go-see, a shoot, or when trying to look like an actual model. capeesh??
In lew of the big show ATL hosted exclusive Celebrity studded events at Hard Rock Cafe & "W" downtown. I'll be posting more info on that asap!
This blissful weekend, our eyes lifted beyond our cars' opened sunroofs to the skys above and prayed for the amazing weather to stick around. Take advantage of the effects of global warming and get in shape for summer! No gym membership? Last I checked ATL has a little park you may have heard of....Piedmont park....it has paths and no membership required.

You Can Find Me In The A.

Incase you didn't know. Atlanta is kinda a big deal. From southern belles to Buckhead bitches to 5 Star Hotels to Little 5 Points to Falcons & Braves, and not to mention some of the best shopping ever. You can find just about anything amazing in this city of 4 million. Even Bravo TV has lauded the housewives of our great city to be good enough to feature on "The Real Housewives of Atlanta."
Amazing things to do, and even more amazing people to see. The hottest are of course represented by the top modeling agency in the south- CLICK Models Atlanta. With right around 200 gorgeous lads and ladies on their roster it makes me wonder what it takes to actually be a model.
Bookings, go-sees, fashion fau pax, broken heels, dieting, skin care, photoshoots, etc. What goes into the modeling world?...and what comes out. Better yet...who can work their way to the top.
Since it's friday, i have a mission for you...practice your zoolander blue ice face in the mirror. See you back here on monday.
